We like the electronic and industrial sounds from this peice of music and the almost discordant and distorted way that it is scored. This helps build tension for the audience which is key for thriller. please leave a comment and tell us what you think.

Sounds we will possibly use for our thriller opening
We like the emotional sounds from the piano as it creates tension and makes the audience feel uncomfortable which is key for a thriller. The strings also add to this effect as they show his hidden emotions underneath. This then all comes to a head at the end like his emotions. Please let us know what you think to this sound for this scene and post a comment!!! p.s poll coming soon.
Possible shots for thriller opening.
We filmed these shots for many reasons. Firstly, for visual means to get a clear understanding of what it will look like . Secondly to frame possible shots to see if they will work on screen. These are not definate shots - just a rough idea. For example we would like to change the opening shot to the other side of the railway track to abide by the 180 degree rule and put the camera on the same side of the track as the person. This is essential for a quality film. Although you can't see it in this clip we would like to create a sound bridge of the train horn running through the opening titles, we would need to enhance this sound for full effect. We would appreciate your feedback on this video so please POST A COMMENT !!!!!

We like the narrative twist at the end of Memento as the storyline leads you to believe different things. We, as an audience are lead to believe that he is in a position of authority. However we then realise that he is no more than a thief and a murderer. We also like the idea of having two parallel storylines, one in colour, one in black & white. This defines clearly that they are different time periods. These converge at the end bringing everything together as a narrative resolution where our enigmas are answered. We also like the idea of the reverse footage which you can see in the opening, for example when he is shaking the Polaroid, the audience thinks that he is shaking it to expose the picture when infact it is dissolving, thius is metephorical of his memory.
