From our blogger Questionnaires we found out that our target audience preferred sci-fi thrillers but in a hand out questionnaires they preferred action thrillers. So we went with action thrillers because its hard to create a low budget sci-fi thriller because it needs a lot of effects made on software like shake or FXhome and we didn't have the rescues.

Possible location and effects for CCTV shots

Here are some photos that were have taken to see where we could put our CCTV shorts, and then i have added some effects on imovie to see what they might look like with effects on them.

After testing are shots and putting effects on imovie, we fort that we didn't really like these effects. So we tried something different so we put a piece of green filter on the camera, then in the editing put titles off and on like a record logo and preferred this so put it in our film.

Vanilla Sky

We like how vanilla sky users twist in the storyline, so the audiences doesn’t under stand what’s going on creating questions. For example in Vanilla sky in plays on two worlds one where the actor Tom Cruise (David Aames) lives a happy life with hers new girl friend and the other life he lives alone with a distortied face, this is the real story line. But the audiences are lead to believe the other one with he’s new girl friend. We wanted to create a complex storyline like this so we came up with the audience believing he killed someone but in the end it’s just him helping someone that’s just been murdered.

James Bond Casino Royale

We like the use of black and white to show the past. So we used this effect when creating are thriller and develop it by using a green filter to give the CCTV feeling. We did this because it creates a more complex storyline with key conventions to thrillers. We also like the use of a modern industral site with low-key lighting, which also follows the key conventions of a thriller by making the audience believe they are watching something there not suppose to watch. And also make them ask questions.

Production title card.

We designed this title card on Photoshop and then made the movements(edits)on Imovie. This is where we will have the sound bridge of the train horn linking to the opening shot of the train.

Sound for opening scene

here is the sound for the openinbg scene. we are using the soundbridge of the train horn over the production titles into the first shot of the train going past. When the sound turns electroniuc this is when we will cut to cctv shot. We scored this music based on the genius of Memento.
